About a month ago, I noticed a fuel smell while extending the landing gear for landing in my 1964 S model Bonanza. My mechanic, Phil Pedron, confirmed that the problem seemed to be the left wing fuel bladder, part number 35-4000-1. As we had replaced this bladder a few years ago with a new one from your company, Phil immediately called you.
I was very impressed with your response. As your representative indicated on the phone, we received a new bladder the following day, apparently under warranty. As a result, the airplane experienced essentially no downtime and my business, which relies heavily on the airplane, was not impaired.
I just wanted you to know that this kind of customer service is deeply appreciated. In my own business career I have found that companies that take this kind of care of their customers have a significant edge over competitors who fail to make customer satisfaction their top priority. I hope that this is proving to be true for your company.
Phil and I will certainly remain your customers and recommend your products (and services!) to others.
Sincerely,
Scott Foster, CEO

Once again, thank you for your kind service to Beech Aircraft Company in helping us to complete a trial mock-up in time for a court trial.
Please forgive the delay in getting a check to you. I didn't realize that you included an invoice with the repair kit and, consequently, I was waiting for an invoice.
Enclosed is full payment and, again, we do appreciate the kind and thoughtful help you extended to us during completion of the mock-up.
Very truly yours,

American Bonanza Forum
I walked into Aero Tech and put the left wing fuel bladder from my Debonair on the table. Henry entered and from about ten feet, said "that one looks like it was made by U.S. Rubber about 1961". (It was in fact made by U.S. Rubber in December, 1961.)
Aero Tech is Aero Tech Services Inc. and Henry is Henry Krug, president of the company. Henry is eighty years young and has been making fuel cells for over fifty years. He is to fuel cells what Norm Colvin is to Bonanzas. His business is family run with he and his son sharing management responsibilities. The shop is immaculate, the employees are dedicated and the fuel cells are of the highest quality, FAA-PMA approved. They have most of the Bonanza cells in stock at very competitive prices. They also repair and custom make cells.
Aero Tech Services is located at 8354 Secura Way, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670 Tel (310) 696-1128. I highly recommend them. Also, Henry gave me a tour and explained the steps involved in the manufacturing process. This was very interesting and I think would be great for a future article in ABS.

A Member Recommends
from Richard J Arabian
Members and other readers, especially those on the west coast, may be interested in knowing of an excellent fuel cell manufacturer and repair facility here in the Los Angeles area. Recent conversations with other mechanics and owners who have either purchased new cells or had repairs performed using distant and/or unreliable sources prompts me to pass along this information, and I do so without hesitation.
Aero Tech Services, Inc., 8354 Secura Way, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670, (562) 696-1128, is a family-operated company headed by Henry Krug, who began the firm in 1967 after many years of fuel cell experience at Goodrich. The company holds new cell PMA (or STCs) for virtually all Beech models, many Cessnas and other types, builds new cells for warbirds and race cars, and repairs and tests virtually all brands where feasible. Their new cell construction features two-ply material for both increased durability and flexibility. I installed a set of Aero Tech 40-gallon units in my Debonair 17 years ago and they continue to perform as intended.
Based upon my experience as an engineer, A&P and IA, Aero Tech Services ranks as an all around first-rate operation resulting from (what else?) first-rate management and staff. Not surprisingly, they have expanded over three-fold in both personnel and floorspace since my introduction to their facility in 1981. I hope our readers find this information beneficial in their search for quality vendors.

Thank you for your assistance in the exchange of our fuel cell for our 182. It is unusual to come across a business that is ethical this day and time. Please send any brochures and information pertaining to your company, we would like to continue to do business with your company.
Thank you,

Thank you for getting the job done on time!
I just bought a used race car. Everything needed to be checked out including the fuel cell. I'm on a tight schedule to get things done before the biggest race of my season. I needed it to be done before Memorial Day weekend. Not only did it get done on time, it got done early! The extra couple days will really help. Further the cell looks like new!
Thanks again!

Thanks for the referrals.
For others challenged with a leaking 310 main fuel bladder that is no longer manufactured, I provide you with the following excellent references.
Lacking an instant miracle cure at the spur of the moment, you referred me to Marla Pancake at TAS aviation in Defiance, Ohio. Even though TAS doesn't do this type of repair, Marla went out of her way to find, then recommend Aerotech as a suitable repair source. She even went the extra mile and called Dennis at Aerotech prior to making the final referral to me.
Aerotech is a pleasure to deal with. Dennis King had a couple of tanks on-hand, but felt that ours, the original, might be more flexible, and provide longer service if repairable. Our tank was inspected and then repaired by Billy Zapata in Aerotech's repair department. Even though the repair was challenging, he got the job done, the bladder tested, and returned to us. The quality of the workmanship is impressive.
I am happy to refer both of these fine Twin Cessna Vendors to other 310 owners.
With Best Regards,
Jack Langhorne

Dear Dennis,
I would like to formally thank you for the awesome service you did for me. Not only did you repair my racing fuel cell for me for free, but you did it on a tank that was purchased from a competitor and not your company. I was willing to pay any amount to get this done in a timely manner and you did so in a one day turn around. It is service like this that will make me come back and strongly recommend you to other customers. It has been a pleasure doing business with you and your whole staff.
Sincerely,
Andrew Atwood CEO

P.S. If there is anything I can do to return the favor in future please let me know.

Dear Dennis,
Thanks again for the efforts of AeroTech Services supporting The Air Museum Planes of Fame TBM Avenger project. I want to personally thank you and compliment your staff for their commitment to excellent service.
As you know from Danielle, I think, he last cell fit great--no revisions to patterns required. All three cells are now in place and ready for fueling in the next several weeks.
I hope you and the staff might enjoy the enclosed book on the TBM Avenger. Page 44 kind of gives you an idea where the tanks are located up in the wing center section through the bomb bay.
Regards,
Mike Hay
